Kids of Slum2School Africa also had an opportunity to speak at The Platform Nigeria.
The children proffered solutions to challenges in the country’s educational system.
According to them, “Education is negotiation; it is a way of getting someone’s involvement without the use of guilt, anger or intimidation.
“Citing an example, the Agberos on the streets, if they had education, they won’t be threatening people to get what they want”.
The kids also noted that more children are suffering from lack of education in Africa which has led to an increase in illiteracy.
The Slum2School children are calling on well-meaning Nigerians to help take these children off the streets.
Slum2School Africa is an NGO which was created in 2012, with the aim of advocating and improving access/quality of education for disadvantaged children in slums and remote communities.
