My Desire

Episode 4
Kingsley had thought Sonia slept off since that wasn’t the first time she’ll be sleeping off in the middle of a discussion. He was almost giving up about getting a reply from her end when Sonia sent a message.
Sonia: hey King abeg no vex jare, na poopoo catch me, i come forget sey i no hold phone.
King: wonderful! First time wey u no go carry phone enter toilet. Which kain poopoo be dat?
Sonia: guy forget jur, oya continue. Sonia pretended to be alright when she had actually been fighting back tears threatening to spill as she read King’s messages. This was beginning to torment her, but she must control herself.

King: ehn ehn, as i dey talk before almighty poopoo carry you commot. After collecting her number that night, i didn’t call her until the second day. Hearing her voice made my heart jingle,and I knew she was the one.
Sonia: wow! That’s cool. Tell me more.
King: I asked for a date with her, but we couldn’t meet until Saturday, because she had to travel to get goods from Onitsha.
Sonia: hehe na traveller u wan marry? Wetin she dey do gangan?
King: she sells grade2 clothes,bags and shoes. She is a graduate o, she finished from O.A.U as an economist, her shop is a wow! Sonia, you need to meet this young enterpreneurer!
Sonia: guy tell me as u take relate jur, shebi u sey na ur missing rib? Sonia asked this with her heart in her mouth, her head had started pounding again.
King: yes o! Na d koko be dat! I didn’t waste time asking her out on Saturday when we went out. I picked her up from her shop. I told her my mind and she accepted within five minutes! I couldn’t believe it Sonia. I had thought it would be hell to win her over. I guess the numerous chats we had before the date fueld her decision. I am so so excited!
Sonia sobbed and replied: congratulations big head, finally somebody agreed to manage you for me. Why didn’t you now gist me all along?
King: i wanted it to be balanced before i tell you, i was scared she wouldn’t accept, and it was when she agreed to go on another date with me today and showed up that i knew Yes! This is it, and i just had to share the news.
Sonia: I’m happy for you King.
King: thanks sweet. See ehn my baby is online, we’ll chat later. Sleep like a damsel. He added a kiss emoji.
Sonia: greet my wife for me, got to sleep too.
That night was the most terrible night she ever had.

Gradually, King had limited time for Sonia as he spent most of his leisure with Morgan. Even the blind could see he was held over heels in love with Morgan, and she in turn cherished him.
Morgan had been opportuned to meet Sonia and Francis the day Francis took them all out to celebrate Kingsley’s relationship. He had always been skeptical of the closeness between his woman and Kingsley especially when he was single. But due to the trust he has for Sonia, he let them be. Now that Kingsley has a woman, he was so happy and felt more at peace.
All along, this only increased the jealousy in Sonia’s heart. She realized she truly and deeply love Kingsley and want him to be hers. She had grown so addicted to him that it felt difficult to share him with another, all these made her relationship with Francis strained, her love for him was dwindling and she kept giving excuses whenever he wants to come over to see her or he request for her to come. Still, Francis kept loving her and believing she would come around even though he didn’t know the reason for her change in attitude.

About five months after Kingsley and Morgan had started their relationship, Kingsley told Sonia in one of their chats that he would be proposing to Morgan soon and he wants it to be a big proposal. He was eager to get married to her since both of them were working and ready to settle down. Sonia made up in her mind that it was time to let him know what he needs to know. She wouldn’t sit and watch the love of her life walk away just like that. She asked if he was going to be around by weekend, he confirmed it, and so Saturday was the day.

Saturday came and Sonia dressed up looking ravishing. She looked into her full mirror, admired herself and said “King, My King, you can’t steal my heart with your charms and expect to leave me stranded by the road, you belong to me, and I won’t sit here and watch you go just like that. I love you so much that it hurts, and I’ll fight for my love”. She smiled at her reflection determined, picked up her bag and left for Kingsley’s residence. The time was 10am.
