President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reduction in the cost of forms for the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), National Examinations Council (NECO), Senior
Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination.
Adamu Adamu, Minister of Education, announced the decision during the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.
The change will take effect from January 2019.
The cost of JAMB UTME form will now cost N3,500 instead of N5,000, while for NECO it will drop from N11,350, to N9,850.
